Hawksoft Implementation Guide
Overview
This guide covers what your agency needs to do to connect HawkSoft to Quandri: generating API access, sharing your credentials with us, and (if you're using Connect) mapping your CSR codes to email addresses so renewal emails route to the right person.
Prerequisites
- Admin access to your agency's HawkSoft management system
- A designated contact who can generate API credentials
Configuration Steps
Step 1: Generate API access for Quandri
Quandri isn't listed in the HawkSoft Marketplace yet, so your agency generates our API access directly:
- Open the Setup Menu → HawkSoft in your HawkSoft management system.
- Generate API credentials for Quandri with full scope. This authorizes Quandri to read your client and policy data.
- Enable the write-back scope as well. This will let Quandri write log notes, attachments, and suspenses (dated task reminders) back into HawkSoft once that feature is available.
Note: Request both scopes now — Read (required for day-to-day service) and Write-back (not yet active, but needed so we don't have to ask you to regenerate access later).
Step 2: Share your credentials with Quandri
Once access is generated, send your Quandri Implementation Manager the following three values:
- Agency_id — your agency's numeric HawkSoft ID
- Client_id — the ID tied to Quandri's vendor app access
- Client_secret — the matching secret for that access
Note: You can use OneTimeSecret or a similar tool to send these values more securely
Step 3: Provide report for CSR code mapping
If you're using Quandri Connect, renewal emails are sent with a Reply-To address based on the CSR assigned to each policy. HawkSoft's API only returns an opaque CSR Code (e.g., SRD) — not a name or email — so we need a one-time mapping from you.
For each active CSR at your agency, send us a report containing:
- HawkSoft CSR Code
- Full Name
Where to find your CSR codes:
- Download a CSV of your HawkSoft users and codes from HawkSoft Downloads Configuration (https://downloads.hawksoft.app/configuration), or
- In the HawkSoft CMS desktop app, go to Settings (gear icon) → User List. Each user's initials are their CSR Code.
Note: Keep this mapping current. If staff or CSR code assignments change, send us an updated list — otherwise replies may route to the wrong person.
